About Michael Hogan

A Lifetime of Making

Jewelry has been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. I grew up in Maryland around my mother’s science lab and my father’s jewelry classroom, where the sounds of tools, teaching, and making shaped my earliest memories.

“Let me show you something.”

That was how my father taught us—one short lesson at a time.

Learning the Craft

After studying classical fine art and moving to New York City, I returned to jewelry with a strong foundation in metalwork and a desire to keep learning. Working alongside skilled craftspeople in the Diamond District, I expanded into fine jewelry, gold, diamonds, and stone setting—always guided by curiosity and problem-solving.

What That Means for Your Jewelry

I use hand fabrication, casting, stone setting, CAD, 3D printing, and modern manufacturing as tools—not formulas. The goal is always the same: to choose the right process for the design and create a piece that is beautiful, durable, and deeply personal.

The Story Today

Today, I’m a father living and working in New York City. I design fine jewelry, create custom pieces, and teach the craft I’ve spent most of my life learning.

Today, I use everything I’ve learned since then to create pieces that may someday become part of your family’s story.
